Jeannine Giglio graduated Doctor of Law in 2003 at the University of Malta. Joined a law firm where she practiced primarily in areas related to Financial Services and European Law. She was then engaged as legal advisor to the Minister for Family and Social Solidarity and later the Ministry for Education, Culture, Youths and Sports until she joined GSB at its inception. While acting as legal advisor of the minister she was involved in the preparation and drafting of legislation. She also played an active role in policy making which policies were eventually approved by cabinet.
She also obtained the foundations certificate in Trust Law and Management in 2004.
She is a member of the Board of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and a member of the inter-ministerial committee set up in preparation to the European Capital of Culture (ECOC), Malta 2018.
She is fluent in English, Maltese, Italian and is proficient in French.
